Sydney, Australia – 20 June 2007 – Australian-based healthcare solutions provider,
TrakHealth, an InterSystems company, today announced the appointment of Darren
Jones to the newly created position of Director, Worldwide Markets.
Jones, who reports to InterSystems’ Chief Executive Officer, Terry Ragon, is responsible
for managing worldwide sales activity for TrakHealth and for evaluating and planning
entry into new countries.
InterSystems Corporation, whose products provide the premier platform for connected
healthcare, recently acquired TrakHealth, which develops and markets the TrakCare
Web-based healthcare information system.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for me to contribute further to the strong growth that
TrakHealth is experiencing in international markets such as Europe, Asia and Latin
America,” said Jones, who will be based in Sydney and Melbourne. “The recent
acquisition of TrakHealth by InterSystems gives us the additional financial backing and
support to bid for and win the large scale health projects being initiated in many
countries around the world.”
Jones has over 20 years of healthcare IT experience in both vendor and delivery
organisations with roles encompassing all aspects of IT, including development,
implementation, support services, sales and business development.
Jones joined TrakHealth in 2001 and was most recently the company’s Regional
Director, Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining TrakHealth, Jones worked for six years at IBA
Health, rising to the position of General Manager, Australia & New Zealand. Previously,
he worked for Australian Hospital Care Group as Applications / Solutions Manager.
He has a Bachelor of Applied Science with a major in Information Technology from
Swinburne University in Melbourne.
