Sydney, Australia – November 29, 2007 – Australian-based healthcare solutions provider, TrakHealth, an InterSystems company, today announced that it has opened an office in Thailand. The new office employs five staff who are responsible for project implementation and maintaining client relationships.

The key focus of the office is to provide superior customer care to TrakHealth’s largest customer in Thailand, Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited.

BDMS – the largest private health provider in Thailand, providing in- and out-patient medical services through private hospitals in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket and Samut Prakan – is currently migrating to TrakHealth’s TrakCare Web-based healthcare information system.

“The opening of a five-person strong local office builds upon the earlier work of TrakHealth’s three existing project implementation staff in Thailand,” said Darren Jones, TrakHealth’s Regional Director for Asia-Pacific. “We have extended our local professional team and have reinforced our commitment to support our Thailand customers with a permanent office.”

A user of TrakHealth's earlier products MedTrak and LabTrak, BDMS is deploying TrakCare and its “FastTrak to EPR” capability to facilitate a group-wide summary electronic patient record (EPR) that can be shared throughout the group as patients move from one hospital to another.
